fair trade practices. Their cotton is grown in India by
family farmers organized in co-operatives that are
Fair Trade Certified
and
Certified Organic. They use hydrogen peroxide (not chlorine bleach)
for
whitening and only use eco-friendly fiber reactive, low
impact dyes
that use less energy, water and produce less waste.
Printing is done
with water-based pigments that do not contain any heavy metals,
phthalates or PVC. All their cotton products are pre-shrunk
chemically-free using rubber pads and steam. Minimal shrinkage will
still occur in the f
irst few washes and this is accounted for in sizing.
