who has studied colloidal silver. Dr. Hanshew approves use of colloidal
silver but warns that not all product containing colloidal silver are
made the same nor are safe.
The Food and Drug Adminstration does
not approve use of colloidal silver as an antibiotic treatment. One of
the serious and non-reversible side effects of taking colloidal silver
is skin turning a bluish-grey tone. Collodial silver has been known to
build up in the body and long term effects are not yet known.
Herbal Nasal Sprays to Make Ear Pain Better From Sinus Infection
Nasal
sprays lightly mist a solution into the nasal cavity causing temporary
relief. Different herbal ingredients are used to reduce inflammation and
ease sensitivity. Nasal sprays are designed to reduce pain, congestion,
runny nose and sneezing. A common ingredient is spearmint.
Spearmint
is used to reduce inflammation and reduce pressure pain. It has been
used in vapor therapy to treat headaches, migraines and sinusitis.
Unlike its relative peppermint, spearmint is more subtle and not
irritating.
Using Water Therapy to Control Sinus Infection Symptoms
Making
the air moist can ease sinusitis symptoms. A humidifier will work at
increasing the relative humidity. Another option is to run the shower
for 10 minutes, allowing the bathroom to fill with steam. People
suffering from sinusitis can find comfort in sitting in the bathroom and
breathing in the moister air.
The Mayo Clinic offers drinking
more fluids, water and fruit juice, to manage sinusitis symptoms. More
fluids will dilute the mucus and allow better drainage. The more the
cavities drain, the less pressure build up there will be. Caffeine and
alcohol should be avoided as they make symptoms worse.
Warm Compress to Ease Ear Pain From Sinus Infection Pressure
A
warm damp cloth can be applied to the nose, cheeks and eyes to ease
sinus. The warm compress method can be done several times a day as
needed.
Nasal Rinse for Clearing Nasal Passage During Acute Sinusitis
Acute
sinusitis does not allow the nasal cavity to drain properly. A nasal
rinse, made up typically of saline solution, can promote drainage and
ease pressure and ear pain.
