How to Use Hopscotch Kids Non-Toxic Nail Polish

Water-based nail polishes do not contain any solvents to strip oils from the nails, so you need to manually remove those oils yourself so the polish can adhere better. For best results:

1. Remove any existing nail polish and buff nails. This smooths the nail and removes surface oils so Hopscotch Kids can bind to the nail.
2. Wash hands with soap and water to rinse remover residue and buffing dust.
3. Rinse well and dry thoroughly.
4. Apply 1-2 coats of polish. There is no need for a base or top coat!

Polish Remover: Moisten cotton pad and rub across nail to remove. For easier removal, pre-moisten all nails with remover allowing time for polish to soften. After removal, thoroughly rinse nails in clean water. Failure to rinse nails may prevent polish adhesion. 

Safe to use for all ages. Always use with adult supervision.

Now, I've used this polish myself and on my little girl - and even if you don't buff the nails, it still lasts a good time on the nails which is very, very, impressive!

Using Hopscotch Kids Nail Polish for Kids

This is a fun time for kids and there are many ways you can use Hopscotch Kids non-toxic nail polish! Here are some tips:

• Let your child pick the colors she/he likes (yes, boys play with these colors too - it's all good!)
• Older children can practice doing their own nails - with supervision!
• Paint nails in patterns, alternating with different colors
• Use colors to support local events or holidays (Valentines Day - Red, St. Patricks Day - Green, Christmas - Red & Green etc.)

How Quickly Does Hopscotch Kids Nail Polish Dry?

The nail polish will dry to the touch within a couple of minutes but it still needs a couple of hours to fully cure. It is best to do the following when using Hopscotch Kids nail polish on children:

• Preferably, you should do your child's nail just before bedtime (after nap and when they will be still for a couple of hours!)
• Choose a time when your little one is not cranky or overly fidgety!
• Apply 1 coat to nails and then blow dry for a minute, then apply 2nd coat and blow dry for a couple of minutes. To help the time pass, we always sing our ABC's or Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!
  
• Start with fingernails so they get more drying time. Encourage your child to be careful with their nails for the first while. If I know my child is about to go outside and dig in the dirt or sandbox, we do her nails after!
